No Child Should Worry About Their Next Meal — Help Us Bridge the Holiday Hunger Gap

When school lets out for holiday break, most kids celebrate. But for the youth we serve, long breaks mean something very different: empty pantries, inconsistent meals, and no safe place to land.

Many of our teens are couch surfing, living in cars, or trying to get by on their own. School meals are often the only steady nutrition they have. When those meals disappear, so does their safety net.
This holiday season, we’re launching a Gift Card Drive for Food & Essentials to make sure every young person has what they need to stay fed, warm, and supported — even when school is closed.
What We’re Collecting:
Grocery store gift cards
Restaurant cards
Gas station gift cards
Pharmacy/essentials stores (Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens)
A $50+ card may seem small, but to a hungry teen, it can mean a meal today, warm socks tonight, or a ride to safety.
Every dollar helps. Every card changes a story.

Donate Online:
Use the donation form below, or click here, to donate to the Emergency Food Assistance fund. We'll purchase gift cards in bulk and distribute them on your behalf, ensuring every dollar goes directly to helping families.
Spread the Word:
Share this post with your church, your workplace, your family, and your friends. The more people who know, the more families we can help.
And here’s something important to understand:
There are nearly 150 vulnerable kids in our care — in a parish of about 270,000 people.
Caring for them is absolutely attainable. When each of us does a little, together we can change everything.
Every gift card donated will be tracked and distributed to verified families in need through our organization's established assistance programs. For questions or to coordinate larger donations, please contact us at connect@onewaylove.org
Together, we can make sure no child in our community goes hungry this month.
